Using AdWords To Boost Your AdSense Revenue

One of the best things to happen in recent months for web site owners and webmasters is Google Adsense. Basically, Google Adsense pays a webmaster or web site owner every time someone who visits the web site clicks on the ads Google has placed on the web pages. This has become a truly unique and profitable way to earn a living online for some. In fact, many webmasters have quit their 9-to-5 jobs so they could focus on Adsense. Many build many web sites, all carrying their particular Adsense code, so that they can generate endless earnings. The thinking goes that if one web site can earn $25 a month on average, then a hundred web sites can earn $2500, and so forth.

You can approximate the CPC, which will tell you how much you can make, by punching in particular keywords and checking out what they make before you build a web site. You go to do this at www.adsensearena.com, and you can enter any search for a phrase to determine how profitable it can be.

You can improve your CTR by arranging your Adsense ads such that they look like they belong on your web site and don’t scream “advertisement” to visitors, which would deter clicks.

However, page impressions themselves can be a little bit more difficult to get. This is basically your Web traffic. Web traffic is the number of users who visit a particular page of your web site. Because traffic is the main source of oxygen for any online venture, this is especially true for web sites that make money by pay per click programs.

In short, your Google Adsense campaign depends on the volume of traffic you can generate for your web site or web sites. Of course, you can try other marketing strategies as well, but these will usually take quite some time to see results. One good thing about Google Adsense is that its results can be seen almost instantaneously, as will changes you make to improve your results. Keep in mind that every competitor is also trying the same techniques, so you need something that will make you stand out in the crowd and succeed.

Because of this, many webmasters have tried out PPC advertising for earning campaigns. In this way, they advertise their web sites through Google AdWords, and then Google displays their links in similar fashion to the way it displays Adsense ads. Webmasters then pay Google for every user click on ads that lead to their web sites.

Especially since this has become so lucrative, Google has begun to crack down on web sites that are comprised of just ad blocks and nothing else. Instead, they look to make sure that web sites contain legitimate taxed so that they actually have some content on them useful to visitors. If your web site is comprised entirely of ads, be aware that it’s likely that your site will soon disappear from search engines, because Google takes great pains to get these web sites out of search engine results. It’s also likely that your Google Adsense account itself will be suspended.

Instead of trying to focus on these “get rich quick” approaches, focus on the content of your site and make sure that it is quality, so that visitors will want to come and visit your web site. After all, this is what a web site should be for, to provide visitors information.

If you use AdWords to try and get some traffic to come to your site, put a mailing list in place so you can capture visitors’ contact details and send messages to them that they can use, and that will nonetheless help direct traffic to your site. PPD advertising is only to get you initial traffic, until your other marketing strategies pick up and give you consistent and long-lasting traffic results.
